User Profile

When a user logs on to a Windows computer the first time, an empty user profile is created. Typically this is located in C:\Documents and Settings in a folder named after the user’s logon name. The user name will often have an extension added that may be the domain name or an ordinal like 001 or 002. The user profile is where Windows stores user specific files and settings. This is where the user’s desktop items, My Documents folder, and the like are stored.

Vista: c:\users\”name”
